TECH TIP

UVC bulbs have a service life of 9,000 hours, about a year of typical use. At that point output drops to a level that is ineffective at controlling green water, so the bulb should be changed. Change bulbs every spring when nutrient levels are at their highest after the winter and other plants are not yet actively growing
